Syntyä / syvyydestä stage work in Antti house
Syntyä / syvyydestä is a stage work inspired by the inseparable connection between playing and movement, the long aesthetics of the folk music tradition, and playing one’s own power. In the Karelian kantele tradition, playing one’s own power refers to long-lasting, introverted improvisations with which the player expressed his or her own moods and inner states. Syntyä / syvyydestä is a collaboration between two performers who express themselves through dance and music, and a scenographer.

Emilia Lajunen, movement, 5-string violin, double bass harp, singing, dramaturgy
