Easter bonfires are lit at Seurasaari Festival Ground on Saturday 19.4. The smaller bonfire is lit first and then the larger one.
The bonfire tradition still lives in the Ostrobothnia region (north-western Finland). People in the old days believed that fires and smoke would ward off evil spirits.
Festival Ground kiosk is open during the event. There you can buy coffee, refreshment and sweet and savoury snacks. Barbeque facilities.
It´s free entry to the event. Program changes are possible.
Bus 24 and 24S runs from the city center (Kamppi) to Seurasaari.
